Obituary of Thomas George Angus Dykeman

The death of Thomas G. A. Dykeman with his family by his side occurred Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hospice House Fredericton.

Born in Chipman, NB he was the son of the late Herbert and Eleanor (West) Dykeman.

Thomas met Linda, they fell in love and were married for 49 years. Family was very important to Thomas, he loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need, with no need for recognition. Thomas was employed with Grand Lake Timber for 27 years. He also loved the outdoors, tinkering in his garage was a backyard horticulturist. Thomas had a stubborn streak and loved a good argument regarding Irving and Lotto Max. He will be missed by many.

Survived by his loving wife Linda (Daigle) Dykeman; a son, Ian Dykeman (Jodi); daughters, Stacey Foulkes (Greg) and Tanya Dykeman- Riley; grandchildren, Tara, Justin, Taylor, Conrad, Sebastian, Jordan, Hayden and Harper; 2 great grandchildren, Carson and Avah. Sisters, Carmel Anderson (Ron), Laura Quinn, Pat McNamara , Marguerite Merrithew and Pearl Giggey; many nieces, nephews and cousins.                                                                                         

In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by brother, Murray Dykeman; sisters, Mary Cheeseman, Violet Bishop and Evelyn Smith.

Visitation will be held 9am – 5pm Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 6102 Route 10, Upper Salmon Creek, NB.

Please be advised masks are to be worn, and to practice social distancing.

Funeral Mass will be by invitation only. For those who wish, donations made to the MEMS Breakfast Program or Hospice House Fredericton would be appreciated by the family. www.hoggfunerals.ca
