Obituary of Reta Marian LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that the family of Reta LeBlanc of Chipman, NB announces her passing on May 16, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. Widow of Earl LeBlanc, she was 79 years of age. Born on August 9, 1932 in Sault Ste Marie, ON, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Wood) O’Neill. She is survived by her children Paul (Debbie) LeBlanc of Minto, Karen LeBlanc of Rothesay, Weldon (Susan) LeBlanc of Kelowna BC, Brian (Brenda) LeBlanc of Beaver Dam and Jason (Tabatha) LeBlanc of Chipman, son in law Sterling Clark of Chipman, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and by her sister Peggy (Tom) Bender of Sault Ste Marie, ON. Reta will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Reta was predeceased by her daughter Paulette LeBlanc-Clark, son Rene LeBlanc, sisters, Dorothy Porter and Velma Wierzbicki, and brothers George, Pat, Terry, Roy, Tom, Earl, Charlie, and Bill O’Neill. The family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care unit at the Chalmers Hospital including Dr. Gowan, nurses and support staff. A sincere thank you also goes out to the staff at the North Minto Seniors Residence for their great care while she lived there. Family and friends are invited to Hogg Funeral Services in Chipman for visitation on Friday, May 18 from 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chipman at 11 AM on Saturday May 19 with Father Paul Bebodu officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any expression of sympathy can be made through a donation of your choice, to the Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s Society.
