Obituary of Edward James Perkins

July 28, 1944, Fredericton, NB - June 7, 2020, Fredericton, NB It is with profound sadness that the family of Edward James "Jim" Perkins announces his recent and unexpected death. Jim was the son of Edward G "Ted" Perkins and Margaret C (Law) Perkins. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Doyle ) White-Perkins and his only sibling and brother Richard (Mona) Perkins. He is also survived by his sons, Jonathan (Elle) and Jason and his daughter Jennifer ( Ries VanBeek) and step-sons, Bryan (Jennifer) White and Brendan (Barb) White. Jim is also survived by grand-children Jordan, Sydney and Janelle Perkins, Lily and Luke VanBeek and step-grand daughter, Cassidy White. He was pre-deceased by three step-grandchildren Cheyanne, Amanda and Courtney White. Jim received his Masters in Education from University of New Brunswick and was a retired teacher from Fredericton High School (1997) He was Department Head of Industrial Education and also taught Math. Cremation has taken place. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and Jim's distinct wishes there will not be a funeral or memorial service. The family would like to express very special thanks to Dr Jeff Ginn and the wonderful nursing staff on 3 East and also to Dr Jill Goodyear, Dr Gordon MacDonald and Dr Jennifer Gillis-Doyle and the gentle nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr Everett Chalmers hospital in Fredericton.
