Obituary of Florence Chestnut McPhee

The death of Florence Chestnut McPhee formerly of Salmon Creek, NB occurred Saturday, July 26th, 2014 Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Cumberland Bay, NB she was the daughter the late Robert and Mary Louise (Cody) Smyth. A member of Salmon Creek United Baptist Church and a longtime member of Salmon Creek Ladies Institute. Survived by sons, Kenneth (Simone), Douglas (Mary), Warren Jr. (Karen) and Rodney (Linda); daughters, Mona Brown (Doug), Sheila McPhee, Susan Gilmore (Rob), Elizabeth Cusack (Ron) and Victoria Cusack (Robb); 24 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many very special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband Warren McPhee; a grandson, Andrew McPhee; brothers, Andrew and Warren Smyth; sisters, Virginia McPhee and Anna Egers. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, August 1st, 2014 from Minto Community Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Salmon Creek United Baptist Church, Salmon Creek Woman’s Institute or Pine Grove Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff in all departments of Pine Grove Nursing Home for their deep love and compassion for mom while she was a resident there.
