Obituary of Ruby Elizabeth Thompson

The death of Ruby Elizabeth Thompson of Minto, NB occurred Sunday, May 11th, 2014 at her home. Born in Cox’s Point, NB she was the daughter of the late Enslie and Nellie (Evans) Barton. Survived by sons, Hubert Thompson (Celia) of Rothwell, Dale Thompson (Louella) of Lincoln; daughters, Wendy McAllister (Rodney) of Midlands and Sandra Kennedy (David) of Maquapit Lake; 15 grandchildren, Terri Parker, Holly Green, Tony McFadgen, Robert Thompson, Roxanne Furlong, Lacey Whitlocke, Lisa Gibbon, Rhonda Copeland, Tracy Parlee , Elizabeth Thibodeau, Geoffrey Troy, Gregory Troy, Jeffery Kennedy, Mandy Jones and Angela Lonsdale, a sister, Gladys Copeland; a daughter in law, Constance DeRoches; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her husband Raymond Thompson in 1995; a son, William Thompson in 1986; a brother Herb Barton; a sister, Doris Barton. In keeping with Ruby’s wishes there will be no visitation. Public graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 2:00PM from the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension. Following the service a reception will be held at Ruby’s house 138 Post Road, Minto, NB E4B 3A1. For those who wish, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
