Obituary of Chester Allison Austin

Chester Allison Austin, 82, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at WG Bishop Nursing Home. Born on June 8, 1942, in McGivney, NB, he was the son of the late Robert (Bob) Austin and Margaret (Maggie) (née Woodcock).

Chester was a truly inspiring and positive individual. Despite his disability, he maintained remarkable independence and found ways to accomplish nearly everything on his own throughout his life. His determination and resilience were a testament to his character.

A devoted fan of wrestling, Chester also had a deep love for cars. He was always kind to everyone he met and was rarely seen without a warm smile. His positivity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chester is survived by his brothers, Donald (Vera) and Guy (Nancy); his sisters, Fay ( Robert), Mary (Ron), and Heather (Ron); several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Chester was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and Brian.

In keeping with Chester’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
