Obituary of Patricia Victoria Smearer
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Patricia Victoria (Sutherland) Smearer at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 9th, 2024.
Loving wife & best friend of Harley Smearer.
Born in Atikokan, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Rachael Sutherland.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sisters, Marie-Paule Schoffner (Lloyd), Margie Gibson (Murray), many nieces, nephews, cousins and her furry companion Tundra.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, Steven Schoffner.
She worked at Zellers, Superior Envelopes, and Scott’s Nursery. Pat enjoyed travelling, card making and reading. She travelled extensively in Europe, the States and Canada.
Honouring Pat’s wishes there will be no service or viewing at this time. There will be a reception at the Douglas community Hall to be announced.
