Obituary of Karen Gail Thompson
Karen Gail Thompson of Fredericton NB, passed away peacefully with family by her side, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Her family sang her hymns of heaven until she passed at Hospice House on Friday, September 1st, 2023.
Karen was the treasured daughter of Neil and Joyce (Tyler) Hughes. She was the loving mother of Marcie Thompson and Matthew Thompson (Vanessa). She cherished her grandchildren Breleigh and Brett, who affectionately called her “Bema”. Karen was also Grand Mama to the grand-dogs Rascal, Bella and Magnolia and a herd of rescue animals. She was the beloved youngest sister of Tanya McLean (Darrel), Sandra Budovitch (Ed) and Brenda Henderson. Karen is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Corbett Church, 55 Corbett Avenue, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 7, 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will also take place at Corbett Church Friday, September 8, at 2pm. Burial will take place at a later date.
