Obituary of Ernest Lee Colwell
The death of Ernest Lee Colwell of Minto, NB occurred Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at the York Care Centre, Fredericton.
Born in Fredericton, NB he was the son of the late Redvers and Evelyn (Walsh) Colwell.
Survived by his loving wife, Jean (Maston) Colwell; sons, Daniel (Brenda) and Thomas (Denise); daughter, Teresa Clark (Dave); 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Catlin), Chelsea (Mike), Cassandra (Patrick), Kealtie (Alex) and Meaghan (TJ); 7 great grandchildren, Madison, Reid, Chrissy, Sophie, Emma, Rowan, Maeve, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ernest was predeceased by brothers, Ivan and Douglas; sisters, Alice Colwell, Theresa Caissie, Vera Petrovics, Lois Caissie and Joyce Colwell.
Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday from 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto. Reception will follow service at the Minto Senior Citizens Club (11 O’Leary Lane, Minto, NB). For those who wish, donations made to the SPCA or MEMS Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family.
