Obituary of Margaret Christina Boyle

To know her was to love her. Her smile would light a room, her laughter would warm any heart.

It is with broken hearts that the family of Margaret Christina (Harris) Boyle announce the passing of their beloved matriarch at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 93.

Marg was born on June 13, 1928 in Tracy, NB to the late James Harris and Pearl (Nason Harris) Phillips. She grew up on the Rooth Road in Tracy and with her marriage, at the age of 18, she began her own family just a few doors down from her parents. This was the home in which she raised her six children alongside her late husband, Edward Boyle. After Ed's passing in 1983, she continued to reside on the Rooth Road until the age of 88, at which time she moved to Barrie's Special Care Home in Nasonworth where she shared her joy, laughter, and love with all those who live and work there.

Marg is survived by her only daughter Beverly Boyle, and sons Terry (Barb), Vaughn (Lillian), Nick (Beverley), and Jeff (Tammy). Her 11 grandchildren: Shawn, who was extra special as he had the privilege of growing up next door, Jennifer, Lisa, Christie, Julie, James, Eddy, Jordan, Justin, Owen, Hilary. 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, as well as, several nephews and nieces that were very dear to her heart. Along with her parents and husband, Marg was predeceased by her cherished son Todd, her sister Dody Williams and brother Bob Harris.

She lead a very full and active life. A friend to all, she loved her community and her church family, both meant so much to her. She taught Sunday School, DVBS, Pioneer Girls and served wherever there was a need for over 40 years at Tracy United Baptist Church. Many students will recall their time with her with much fondness.

Family vacations to the States, time spent at the Hardy Creek camps, countless bus trips, road trips, shopping excursions, bowling leagues, games nights with friends, and socializing at Tim Horton's in her later years brought her great joy. However, her greatest joy came from hosting large family gatherings at her home. We will take comfort in those beautiful memories and the legacy she leaves us with.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Barrie's. The love and care they shared with Marg had kept her thriving these past years and brought peace to the family knowing she was well looked after and happy.

A service to honour her memory will be held 2:00PM Saturday, June 4th, 2022 from the Tracy United Baptist Church.

For those who wish, donations can be made to the Tracy United Baptist Church or charity of choice.

With respect to the family's wishes, it has been requested that masks be worn while inside the church.
