Obituary of Oliver Joseph Legere

The death of Oliver Joseph Legere of Minto, NB occurred Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Patrick and Emilie (Bastarche) Legere. Survived by his loving wife, Elva (Brosseau) Legere; daughters, Kathy Legere, Joyce Nash (Dale), Nancy Allen (Kerry), Wendy Hogan (Gary), Tracy O’Kane (Robert) and Diana Somers (Nick); 9 grandchildren, Carla, Hollie, Anthony, Nicholas, Natasha, Olivia, Jorja, Jillian and Anderson; 6 great grandchildren, Marissa, Evan, Addison, Faith, Oliver and Gunnar; special friend, Art Cormier; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Father P. Bebodu for your visits and prayers. In addition to his parents, Oliver was predeceased by; infant twin daughters, Emily and Alma; brothers, Arthur, Amos, Edward, Rene, Joe, Maxime, Luke and Baby Eddie; sisters, Annie Legere, Doreen Bourgeois and Emilia Girouard. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Saturday, November 30, 2019 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the MEMS Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family.
