Obituary of Freda Eileen McCoy

The death of Freda Eileen McCoy of Douglas Harbour, NB occurred Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Born in Fredericton, NB on May 15, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Ira and Irene (Palmer) Colwell.

Survived by a son, Carman McCoy (Bonnie); daughter-in-law, Patricia McCoy; grandchildren, Craig (Heather), Todd (Kim), Timmy (Jennifer), Jody Hall (Gary) and Shannon Ackerson; 5 great grandchildren, Josh, Tanner, Matthew, Beth and Dawson; nephew, Reg McCoy (Mary); cousins and many good friends.

In addition to her parents, Freda was predeceased by husband Charles McCoy; sons, Eldon and Donnie; daughter, Elaine; sister, Shirley Beedy; brother, Barry Colwell.

Resting at Scotchtown United Church from 12:00 – 1:00PM. Funeral Service will take place 2:00PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 from Scotchtown United Church, Scotchtown. Interment will take place in Scotchtown Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to Scotchtown United Church or Scotchtown Cemetery would be greatly appreciated by the family.
