My deepest sympathy is being sent to Lorna's family and community.
I first met Lorna when I went to work at the Auditor General's Office of NB in 1988. I learned quickly that Lorna was like "the mother" of the Office. Her quiet manner was misleading to the knowledgeable and compassionate lady she was. If anyone needed something, they went to Lorna. If anyone wanted to know something, they went to Lorna. If anyone had a problem of any type, they went to Lorna. Lorna was the "The One" who knew everything AND everyone. Lorna loved people and she took a personal interest in everyone's life. She was always wanting to help in any manner. She personally helped me with several situations, both professionally and personally, and I know I'm only one of many.
After working in the office next to Lorna's for several years, I was shocked when Lorna told me she was leaving the Office to become a missionary in South America. I admired her courage and her faith.
Her thoughtfulness and generosity have left me with a few treasures in my home: I have photos of her holding each of my three children as babies, I have the miniature musician figurines she brought home to them from Bolivia displayed in my china-cabinet, “Lorna’s Fudge Squares” remain a family favourite, and most valuable are my memories of Lorna.
Sadly, it has been a few years since I've heard from Lorna. Her passing now is a reminder to me how valuable time is and I, like many, do not make relationships top priority as we should.
Lorna's faith in The Lord was solid. I'm confident she is with The Lord now, likely helping each of us heal from this sadness. And I believe Lorna will bring more joy to our lives in a different manner.
She will rest in peace and help us do the same.
I share "my story" of Lorna hoping it helps her family know how very special Lorna was to many people.
My sincere condolences,
Cathy Connors Kennedy - Fredericton

My sincere sympathy to Lorna's siblings, nieces and nephews, extended family and her many friends. We all were blessed to have known her and to have felt her love for the Lord and people here in the Maritimes and in Bolivia. I have so many memories of travelling to churches to share our missionary callings, the many chats in the car and over coffee as we tried to solve the "world's ills", times of prayer and Bible study -- even online last year. We enjoyed just having fun and exploring the beauty of nature around us. I am eternally grateful for Lorna's friendship and the kindness she showed over and over. I look forward to seeing her again in eternity because of the hope in salvation that is found in Lorna's Saviour, the Lord Jesus. I will miss her deeply....

I first met Lorna in the Pensions branch when she and I worked there. Remember that she loved to walk in the rain and get her long hair wet. The things we remember eh? Have kept in touch with her through the years and in late years my husband and I would meet her at Tim's in Minto for a chat or she would come to Fredericton and meet us here. Won't think of Minto without thinking of her.
Loved Lorna and was so shocked to hear that she had passed away. Gone too soon from us.

My deepest condolences to all of the Bailey Family . I only knew Lorna for a short time and I've never met anyone as kind as her . I met her last February when my Mother in Law had passed away and we had to quarantine for 2 weeks due to Co-Vid. Lorna made sure we had lots of home-cooked meals and the best chocolate cake with boiled frosting ever. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her .
