Obituary of Helen Marie McLellan

The death of Helen Marie McLellan of Sunnyside Beach, NB occurred Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Hospice House, Fredericton. Born in Minto, NB she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Spencer) Madore. Survived by the love of her life, Wendell McLellan; sons, Chris (Carrie) of Toronto and Rodney McLellan; grandchildren, Alisha, David, Aidian, Abby and Jonah; brother, Richard Madore and sisters, Margaret Colwell and Stella McCourt; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by brothers, Chester, Jimmy, Calvin, Harold and Harry; sisters, Ruby and Junetta. Helen was a respected member of the community, always willing to lend a helping hand. As a cancer survivor Helen volunteered her time through the Minto Hospital offering words of encouragement, compassion and kindness for cancer patients. She was a dedicated wife, mother, nanny and friend. Helen started in the work force at a young age. Over her career span Helen worked as a teller at Bank of Nova Scotia, an office administrator at the Minto Machine Shop and book keeping for her husband Wendell's business, W & R McLellan. Helen had a gift for making everyone around her feel special and loved and was often the life of the party. She loved to shop and sing and play guitar, bake homemade bread with her grandchildren and sons and go for a drive with her devoted and loving husband and best friend. She was truly a gift to all that knew and loved her and we are all richer having had the chance to share just a little bit of her life. Forever in our hearts. loved eternally. Funeral Service will take place 3:00PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from Christian Community Church (819 Pleasant Drive, Minto).
