Obituary of Florence Crewdson

Florence Crewdson, age 85, of Island View, NB passed away at the home of Ivan and Lois O'Blenis of Havelock, NB on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Florence Thelma Crewdson, born in Huron, Ontario grew up at Iron Bound Cove near Chipman, NB, the daughter of Albertine (Busch), and Frank Wuhr. She married Robert Ivan Crewdson in 1953 and they made their home at Island View, NB. She was a homemaker and a loyal daughter, looking after her mother as she aged. Widowed at a young age, Florence managed her household and cared for her family. She loved her children and was proud of their accomplishments. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, gardening, and gifted the fruits of her labor to family and friends. She had a keen interest in learning new things, and especially loved nature. She welcomed any animals her children brought home. Usually dogs, or cats, or a rabbit. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Robert Crewdson, brother Frank and his wife Sheila Wuhr. She is survived by her daughter Linda Crewdson, son Ivan Crewdson (Mona), daughter Lois O'Blenis (Ivan), grandchildren Shane Crewdson, Cinnamon Crewdson, Mariah Henderson (Mitchell), her brother Fred (Winifred) of Iron Bound Cove, sister Anita Seudath (Joe) of Douglas, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Florence was very family oriented and had a great love for her world-wide family of Jehovah's Witnesses. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1045 St. Mary's Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Carl Smith speaking. The family thanks friends, neighbours, and the staff of the Home Care and Extra-Mural Programs for their love and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to the Doran family: Dave, Lilian, Adam, David, Nathan, William and Nicholas as well as Shane and Megan Hatt whose kindness to Florence is so much appreciated.
