Obituary of Raye Vernor Clark
The family of Raye Vernor Clark (born 24 April 1939) of Chipman, NB regret to announce that Raye passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers hospital on November 17, 2015.
Raye served in Canada and Germany with the 2nd. Battalion of the Regiment of Canadian Guards, as a Police Officer with the Ottawa Police Department and an assistant unit Supervisor with the Ottawa-Carleton social services Department in Ottawa, Ontario.
At age 42 he attended The University of Guelph as a full-time student, graduating in 1984 with Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. After graduation he developed and managed various vocational training programs for employment and training life skills trainers of mentally handicapped persons in New Brunswick.
In 1987 he became Manager of the Vocational Services Department with the Ontario Government’s facility of Muskoka Center in Gravenhurst, Ontario where he managed a staff of twenty one support workers implementing supported employment programs for handicapped residents who were trained to work and live in their home communities.
Raye is survived by Fiancé Joan Rogers of Chipman, NB (and her three children; Trina of Chipman, Melissa of Rothesay & Lloyd of PEI) , his brother Sterling Clark (Trina); several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his Parents; Charles Millage Clark and Lillian Mae (Estey), his siblings; Russell, Leon Clark Jr. (Sonny), Wynn Clark, Pearl (Clark) Dunham, Frances Clark, his wife; Sally Agnes Elizabeth (Smith), his faithful dog; Cooper and Kitter; the cat.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (43 Main Street, Chipman) with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will take place 11:00AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 from Chipman Community Chapel.
